Music is an essential aspect of my life. When designing this coffee table for my living room, I had to first consider the specific context and how the design would resonate within a space surrounded by musical instruments.

 

The acacia hardwood proved to be a complementary addition to the natural timbers of an acoustic piano and guitar. In addition, the repurposing of the glass shelf served to heighten the conceptual aspects of the design, revealing the steel stretchers beneath and providing an appealing contrast to the density of the timber.
